Short Pitch Rfid eNcoding Technology
SPRiNT™ is an innovative and inexpensive solution for RFID labeling.
With the assistance of SPRiNT™ both printing and coding can be carried out directly onto the tag’s inlay. In this way, up to 50% of the accompanying costs can be saved and RFID tags are not only usable in working processes, but also on the article level.
The producers of inlays for RFID tags normally supply inlays to companies that transform normal labels into so-called smart labels. These inlays, which are also known as wet web media, are self-adhesive and the distance between the beginning of label and the beginning of the next label, which is approximately 20mm, is specifically too short. With such short distances, exact coding directly onto the inlay is only possible with the assistance of the SPRiNT™ capable printers from TOSHIBA.
If the labels require little or no printing, then by using SPRiNT™ technology means that the additional costs for transforming the inlay into a smart label can be saved. This RFID labeling is therefore the really inexpensive solution.
To duplicate the SSCC and generate the EPC data, a serial barcode scanner can be directly connected to the printer without software for ‘slap and ship’ applications.
